Puthrikka Grama Panchayat Ward Delimitation Report
1. Introduction
As per Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the Delimitation Commission undertook the process of redefining the electoral wards of Puthrikka Grama Panchayat in Ernakulam District. After publishing the draft proposals and examining the objections and suggestions received, the final notification was issued. A total of 16 wards have been constituted in the panchayat.

4. Geographical Features
The ward boundaries have been defined mainly based on natural and physical features such as:
- Muvattupuzha River
- Periyar Valley Canal
- Kochi–Madurai National Highway (NH 49)
- Major rural roads
- Boundaries of neighbouring panchayats such as Aikkaranad, Thiruvaniyoor, Maneed, and Vadavukode Puthencruz
5. Summary
As per the 2025 delimitation process, Puthrikka Grama Panchayat has been reorganized into 16 wards. Each ward has a population ranging approximately from 1,185 to 1,424, ensuring balanced representation. The ward boundaries have been demarcated mainly based on rivers, canals, national highways, rural roads, and neighbouring panchayat boundaries to ensure administrative efficiency and geographical clarity.
