Organizational Structure

A Grama Panchayat is a local self-government institution that works towards the social, economic, and cultural development of rural communities. As a fundamental unit of democratic decentralization, the Grama Panchayat directly addresses the needs and issues of the people and implements development activities accordingly.

The institutional structure of a Grama Panchayat consists of the Gram Sabha, the Panchayat governing committee, the President, Vice President, Standing Committees, Secretary, and staff. By ensuring public participation and implementing a transparent and efficient administrative system, the Grama Panchayat leads the overall development of the village.
